has someone ever unlocked the team role by leveling up on the site as a community member?

No the team members are handpicked by david. Staff are picked from interiews and/or applications.

I think he means, thru the leveling system.

At the top it says Team.

Tho I believe that just shows that if your a Team Member your above all the other levels.
